WELCOME TO YOUR COUNTY

The North Carolina Association of County Commissioners has revised for 2008 its Welcome to Your County booklet. The 16-page booklet contains sections on why counties and county governments exist, where counties receive their funding and what services they provide, who runs county governments, and more (information included on this site).

For a limited time only, the Association is offering a special educators' package of 30 copies of the booklet, a DVD of our award-winning 4 1/2-minute video on North Carolina County Government and a copy of our county seals poster, which shows the county seals for all 100 North Carolina counties. The poster makes for a great classroom visual aid.
